Our mission

Short-haul flying is often dismissed as "just another sector" — we think it's the most demanding and rewarding kind of airline flying there is. Tight turnarounds, busy European airspace, challenging weather and airports from Category C mountain strips to the biggest hubs on the continent. ryr-virtual exists to celebrate exactly that.

We recreate the operations of the real Ryanair Group's five airlines in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12: real routes, real schedules, real callsigns and realistic procedures — packaged in a modern crew platform that stays out of your way.

How it works

After a free two-minute registration you pick a home airline and a base. From that moment on, the Crew Center is your ops room:

• Book a flight from the current real-world schedule of your airline.
• Dispatch with one click via SimBrief integration — correct fuel policy and cost index included.
• Fly in MSFS 2024 or X-Plane 12 while our ACARS client tracks the flight.
• Land, file, repeat — your PIREP is generated automatically, hours and stats update instantly.

One logbook, five airlines

Unlike most virtual airlines, you don't lock yourself into a single carrier. Your rank, hours and type ratings travel with you across the whole group. Fancy a week of Polish charters with Buzz, then back to the Irish flagship? Go ahead — that's how the real group rosters work, too.

Community first

We are a hobby project, run by volunteers, with no commercial interest whatsoever. No activity pressure, no pay-to-fly, no gatekeeping. Whether you fly one leg a month or three a night, you're crew. Our Discord is where routes get planned, landings get roasted (gently) and Friday-night group flights on VATSIM and IVAO come together.
